About the project

What’s Behind Your DNA?
Genera is the first Brazilian genetics laboratory to offer a personalized platform for ancestry, health, and wellness tests. They are currently also present in Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile.

After several years in the market, the brand needed a slight refinement of the logo, and most importantly, to address the lack of consistency across materials, as well as the absence of a visual system that was simple, easy to apply, and, above all, highly flexible. The process included a design workshop with the Genera team, where the main difficulties faced by those who apply the brand were identified, along with guiding the project with references and ideas.

Concept Idea

Based on all the insights gathered during the workshop, the core concept that guided the visual universe was "genetic individuality," representing the entire set of data and information behind each individual’s story. Making an analogy to how our cells carry genetic bases that combine to reveal different stories, spheres were used to materialize this concept in a simple yet highly flexible way, extending to various types of applications and ensuring a consistent and proprietary visual system.
